Watching Bullseye reruns tonight and the contestants won Bully's special prize, a week in Kenya on safari, followed by a week at the Beau Vallon hotel on Mahe in the Seychelles... I googled it and the hotel is still there, so, I happened to say to the wife "Still there", meaning the hotel, but she thought I meant the contestants wre still there...! She couldn't believe they were still there from th 80's....!  No..! The hotel is still there, NOT the contestants...

Jim Bowen and Bullseye...

Watching a rerun of the first series of Bullseye and it came to Bully's Prize Board... It was very rudimentary and had green segments (where the black was in later series) and one contestant  hit the green and Jim, ever the comedian, said he'd won a left-handed cup...

Next thing Tyna says "I've never seen a left-handed cup"...   !!!!!!

Fudge..?

On watching the latest advert for Chunky Kit-Kat and the new flavours...

Me: The Fudginator..! A chunky kitkat with fudge in it...

Her: Fudge..? FUDGE..? What's fudge..? <10 seconds later> Oh, it's fudge innit...

Socrates...

Over Christmas we were playing the game where you write someones name on a post-it and pop it on an opponents head and you have to guess who is on your head... Anyway, I put Micky Flanagan down on Anna's head and she said she didn't know who he was and the following conversation occurred....

Me: "Well, you're lucky, I was going to put Socrates"

Anna (whispering to her mum): "Who..?"

Tyna: "They're an Eighties band"

Me: "I think you'll find he was an ancient Greek philospher"
